![]() ![]() Now, once they've replaced Backup and sync desktop app with a new Google Drive desktop app, seems like all the photos uploaded to Google Drive won't automatically appear in Google Photos? So if I want to keep all my files in Google Drive and still be able to browse photos on my phone, I'd have to use double storage and upload to both services as they are now 'independent' of each other and have their own storage? I adapted to this after some time and sorted all my photos before uploading to Google Drive. So you basically had to manage two separate locations for photos at once. Then they changed that the link from PC/Drive to Photos worked only one way and if you deleted a photo from a PC/Drive, you had to then manually delete it again from Google Photos. Delete from one location = delete from all locations. It used to be super-straightforward: upload from PC to Google Drive, then all photos appear in Google Photos. Have a copy of all my files on Google Driveīe able to see all my photos uploaded from my PC to Google Drive on my phone With every combination of a PC-phone I wanted 3 things: ![]() ![]() ![]() I am a pretty tech savvy person, but all the changes Google has made to how photos sync between PC, Google Drive and Google Photos confuse the hell out of me. ![]()
